Halfway through her collegiate volleyball career, Caitlynn Marcano has established her credentials as one of the top setters in Rutgers-Camden history. With 964 assists, she ranks fourth on the program’s career list and is only 36 assists shy of joining the elite 1,000-assist club. By the end of her junior season, Marcano should move into second place on the program’s career assist list.
 
In addition to her total assists, Marcano currently ranks fifth on the Rutgers-Camden career list with 4.53 assists per set.
 
During her freshman season in 2016, Marcano had 487 assists (sixth on the program’s single-season list) and an average of 4.43 assists per set (10th). As a sophomore, she recorded 477 assists (eighth) and an average of 4.63 per set (ninth).
 
Marcano is more than just an assist machine: her .273 hitting percentage ranks first on the program’s career list for all players with 50 or more kills (she has 71 career kills). Marcano also owns 95 service aces (11th on the career list) and she has contributed 295 digs over her two seasons.
 
Volleyball 2017: Appeared in 32 matches and 103 sets…Let the Scarlet Raptors with 477 assists and a 4.63 assist per set average…Finished second on the team with 47 assists and sixth with 117 digs…Added 29 kills for a team-high .315 hitting percentage…Compiled one double-double, with 22 assists and 10 digs against Marywood University (Oct. 21)…Collected double-digit assists in 26 of her 32 matches, including eight with 20 or more assists…Had 28 assists in a five-set match against Misericordia (Sept. 7), the highest single-match assist total for the Scarlet Raptors during the season…Collected five matches with four or more service aces, including a new career high of seven against Medgar Evers College (Oct. 5)…Added 23 assists in that three-set sweep over Medgar Evers…Had her high of three kills against Neumann University (Sept. 16)…Collected five or more digs on 11 occasions, led by the 10 in the Marywood match.
 
Volleyball 2016: Appeared in all 32 matches and all 110 sets for the 2016 Scarlet Raptors, one of only three players to do so…Led the club with 487 assists (the sixth-highest season total in team history) and 4.43 assists per set (ninth highest)…Had a hitting percentage of .248, tied for the team lead and tied for the seventh-highest single-season total in program history…Third on the team with 178 digs (1.62 per set)…Led the team with 48 service aces…Added 42 kills…Compiled three of the team’s four double-doubles during the season…Notched double-doubles against Rowan University (Sept. 20 with 17 assists and 10 digs), Gwynedd Mercy (Sept. 29, 23 assists, 11 digs) and Albright (Oct. 15, 13 kills, 11 digs)…Had double-digit assists in 26 matches, including a career-high 30 against Gwynedd Mercy on Sept. 3…Collected seven other matches with 20 or more assists, including 27 at Wilkes University (Oct. 30)…In addition to her three double-digit matches in digs, added three other matches with nine digs apiece…Had a career-high six aces against Widener University (Sept. 17).
 
High School: Four-year varsity volleyball letterwinner at Williamstown High School for Coach Chris Sheppard…Helped Braves win 2012 state championship…As a senior in 2015, earned First Team All-State, All-Conference and MVP of the Gloucester County Tournament.
