Brian Nop returns for his second season as an assistant coach with the women’s volleyball program after joining David Gurst’s staff in 2015. Nop, who played for the Rutgers-Camden men’s club volleyball team during his days as an undergraduate student, helped to coach the women’s club team in its first year of existence, back in 2000. 
 
Nop has coached for several junior volleyball clubs, including Intensity, Keystone Juniors, South Jersey, and Quandomania. He was also the boys volleyball head coach at his high school alma mater, Cherry Hill West, from 2009-2013. He compiled a record of 77-39, and his teams earned consecutive state tournament appearances. 
 
Nop is currently the assistant director at Quandomania Volleyball Club, where he trains junior athletes in both indoor and beach volleyball. More than a dozen of his former athletes currently play in several NCAA Division I, II, and III volleyball teams throughout the eastern region. 
 
Nop graduated from Rutgers-Camden with a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics. His wife, Susan Nop (formerly Nevins), is also a Rutgers-Camden graduate and was a member of the Scarlet Raptors’ first varsity women's volleyball team in 2000.
