Women's Volleyball Acting Head Coach



The 2014 season marks Coach Beck’s fourth year with the Rutgers-Camden Women’s Volleyball Program and his first as the Acting Head Coach.
 
In 2013 Rutgers-Camden posted a 7-26 overall record and a 3-5 record in the New Jersey Athletic Conference.  Beck assisted Dever in leading the team to the first round of the New Jersey Athletic Conference Playoffs as the sixth seed. Two players – Olivia Rowland and Morgan Halbruner – earned All-NJAC Honorable Mention.
 
In 2012 Beck assisted Head Coach Matt Dever to a 24-8 overall record and a 6-2 record in the New Jersey Athletic Conference. The 24 wins is a program record for single season wins.  The record of 18 wins was previously held by the 2010 team. The Scarlet Raptors made their first birth ever in the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championship Match and the Semifinals Match in the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament.  Four Rutgers-Camden players were selected to the All-NJAC Teams.
In 2011 the team made a berth in the NJAC semifinals, when the Scarlet Raptors finished with a 14-17 record overall. Two players earned NJAC Second Team honors, with Halbruner also being named the conference’s Rookie of the Year.
 
A former scholastic track captain, Beck competed in both the 110- and 400-meter hurdles at Wildwood High School.
 
Beck played three years of semipro football in the Diamond Football League. He was a defensive end for the Atlantic City-based Jersey Devils. His diverse talents also include three years as an actor. Beck works as a restaurant manager for Applebee’s in Voorhees.
