A three-year veteran with the Scarlet Raptors’ volleyball program, Victoria Lake joined the Rutgers-Camden indoor and outdoor track programs for the first time last year, competing in the shot put and the javelin.

Lake has appeared in 35 matches and 76 sets during her three-year volleyball career, collecting 72 kills (0.95 per set) and 20 digs (0.26 per set). She also has added nine assisted blocks and two assists.

Academically, Lake serves as a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and is a two-time member of the Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director’s Honor Roll.

Outdoor Track 2018: During her first outdoor track season, competed in six meets, four times in the javelin and three times in the shot put…Made her Rutgers-Camden outdoor track debut March 24, placing 13th of 15 in the shot put (7.21 meters) at the Delaware Classic…At the Stockton Invitational (March 31), had a shot put of 7.19 meters to place 22nd of 22…Competed in two events at the Gwynedd Mercy Mid-Week Twilight Invitational (April 11), notching a PR in the shot put (7.23 meters, placing 27th of 28) and throwing the javelin for the first time (26.56 meters, finishing 16th of 24)…Javelin throw of 26.51 meters at the Osprey Open (April 13) helped her finish 13th of 24…Placed 22nd of 30 in the javelin (25.47 meters) at the Lions Invitational (April 27)…At the New Jersey Athletic Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships (May 5), finished 15th of 17 in the javelin with a PR of 28.91 meters.

Indoor Track 2017-18:  In her first season with the track program, competed in the shot put at four meets, increasing her distance at every meet…Opened the season finishing 32nd of 34 in the shot (7.01 meters) at the Fast Times Before Finals meet (Dec. 9)…Increased her shot put to 7.04 meters and finished 37th of 43 at the Collegeville Classic (Jan. 20)…Had a shot put of 7.30 meters, finishing 35th of 42, at the Frank Colden Invitational (Feb. 3)…Closed the season with a 7.63 PR in the shot put, finishing 19th of 20 at the New Jersey Athletic Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships (Feb. 19).

Volleyball 2017: Appeared in 12 matches and 22 sets before her season was ended prematurely with an injury…Had 29 kills (1.32 per set), four digs (0.18), one block (0.05) and one assist (0.05)…Had an .086 hitting percentage…Notched highs of eight kills (and no errors in nine attempts) and an .889 hitting percentage against Medgar Evers College (Oct. 5)…The eight kills broke her career match high of seven, set as a freshman…Had three kills, no errors and seven attempts for a .429 hitting percentage against Baruch College (Sept. 1)…Notched two digs against Neumann University (Sept. 16), while adding five kills.

Volleyball 2015: Played in 44 sets over 16 matches…Compiled 39 kills, 16 digs, one assist and seven blocks…Set a career match-high total of seven kills against William Paterson University (Sept. 10)…Helped team reach the New Jersey Athletic Conference Tournament and the ECAC Metro/Upstate Volleyball Championship Tournament.
