Freshman forward Courtney Edmundo led the Rutgers-Camden women’s basketball team to a 2-1 record last week while pacing the club in scoring (16.3 points per game) and rebounding (6.7 rpg) and tying for the team lead with nine steals. She also added five assists. Edmundo, who was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Rookie of the Week on November 11, scored in double figures during all three of her games last week, starting with her first collegiate double-double of 15 points and 11 rebounds against Valley Forge on Nov. 12. During the Scarlet Raptors’ two-game trip to the John K. Adams Tip-Off Classic at Rutgers-Newark, she was named Honorable Mention to the all-tourney team, scoring a career-high 18 points against Cairn on Friday and adding 16 points against FDU-Florham on Sunday. For the season, she leads Rutgers-Camden in scoring (15.3 ppg) and rebounding (6.8 rpg), while adding nine steals, six assists and one blocked shot.
