Rutgers-Camden Athletics

Jacob Dinerman has been a fixture as Rutgers-Camden’s Raptor of the Week this scholastic year and the junior cross country and track star earned his fifth weekly honor today. Dinerman captured the New Jersey Athletic Conference championship in the 1,500-meter run (3:55.46) and finished second in the 800-meter run (a PR of 1:53.95) on Sunday at the NJAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships. He competed in a field of 20 athletes in the 1,500-meter race and 28 athletes at 800 meters. Dinerman’s title at 1,500 meters cemented a stellar year in which he earned NJAC First Team honors during all three of his athletic seasons. He earned NJAC First Team in cross country during the fall and captured the conference indoor title in the mile to become a First Team athlete during the winter season. He also captured NJAC Second Team honors at 3,000 meters during the indoor season, while adding that Second Team honor on Sunday for his 800-meter run. Dinerman’s indoor season included setting the Rutgers-Camden program mark of 4:10.92 in the mile. Dinerman previously won Raptor of the Week recognition twice during cross country season (Oct. 7 and Nov. 4) and twice during indoor track season (Jan. 13 and Feb. 24).
