Junior Michele Valianti was the only Rutgers-Camden indoor track member to compete at the Widener Field Meet on Friday at Widener University, and the first-year member of the Scarlet Raptors’ program turned in a pair of fine performances in the high jump and the triple jump. Valianti finished first of three competitors in the high jump, posting a personal best of 1.52 meters (4-11.75) to record her second first-place finish of the season. Her first winning performance came at the season-opening Haverford Holiday Meet Dec. 14, her collegiate indoor track debut for the Raptors. Valianti also finished fourth out of five in the triple jump at Widener, posting a distance of 9.37 meters (30-9.0), the second-best triple jump of her career.
