Box Score SELINSGROVE, Penn. – Sophomore designated hitter
Zach Leone (Pelham, NY/Fordham Prep) went 2-for-3 with a home run, a two-run double and four RBIs to power the Susquehanna University baseball team over Rutgers University-Camden, 5-3, in a non-conference game here Tuesday.
The loss was the fourth in the last six games for the Scarlet Raptors, who fall to 17-13.
The Crusaders evened their record at 15-15.
Freshman
Carter Fichter (Haddonfield, NJ/Haddonfield Memorial) made his second collegiate start and pitched well again, working six innings while allowing six hits, three earned runs and one walk. Fichter (1-2) struck out one and held the Crusaders off the scoreboard until the fourth inning, when Leone hit a sacrifice fly to plate sophomore catcher
Tom Shields (Chalfont, PA/Central Bucks South). Shields had reached on a single and advanced to third on a double by junior left fielder
Justin Cassinelli (Valhalla, NY/Valhalla). Leone followed with a two-run double to right-center.
The Scarlet Raptors cut their deficit to 3-2 with a pair of runs in the top of the seventh. Junior third baseman
Brett Tenuto (Audubon, NJ/Gloucester Catholic) walked and sophomore shortstop
Pedro Perez (Burlington, NJ/Burlington Township) singled to open the frame. Senior designated hitter
Connor Hall (Delran, NJ/Delran) grounded out to first, but a throwing error on the back end of the play advanced Perez all the way to third base and allowed Tenuto to score. Sophomore right fielder
Doug Carter (Union, NJ/Union) followed with a sacrifice fly,
Susquehanna added an unearned run in the bottom of the seventh and tacked on its final run in the eighth on a solo home run by Leone. The Raptors added their final run in the ninth on a walk to Perez, a single by Hall and an infield error on a ball hit by Carter, allowing Perez to score. Matt Cassinelli (Valhalla, NY/Valhalla) nailed down a save with a ground out.
Matt Cassinelli allowed one hit in his one-third of an inning to get his first save, helping sophomore
Bobby Klatt (Leonardo, NJ/Mater Dei Prep) raise his record to 2-1. Klatt worked seven innings of two-hit ball, walking two, striking out two and allowing two runs, only one earned.

Nick Kennedy (Brookeville, MD/Good Council) had two hits apiece.
Rutgers-Camden had singles from five different players. Perez went 1-for-3 with two runs scored, while Carter had the lone Raptor RBI.
Rutgers-Camden returns to action Thursday with a 3:30 p.m. New Jersey Athletic Conference game at Montclair State University. The Raptors host the Red Hawks Friday at 3:30 p.m.
