GLENSIDE, Penn. (Oct. 14, 2016) – The Rutgers University-Camden volleyball team made quick work of a pair of opponents here Friday night, sweeping both City College of New York and Brooklyn College, 3-0, on the opening day of the Knights Invitational at Arcadia University.
The Scarlet Raptors raised their record to 14-12 with the two-match sweep. They toppled the CCNY Beavers (7-9) by scores of 25-6, 25-10 and 25-10. The beat the Brookyn Bulldogs (7-17) by scores of 25-10, 25-21 and 25-10.
The Scarlet Raptors return to action Saturday morning at the Knights Invitational, facing Albright College at 10 a.m.

The Scarlet Raptors collected 35 kills in their win and hit .365, including eight kills by freshman
Jamie Mulligan (New Gretna, NJ/Pinelands Regional) and six apiece from junior
Cortnee Wilkerson (Los Angeles, CA/West Adams Prep), freshman
Jordan Erskine (Barnegat, NJ/Barnegat) and sophomore
Myiah Gatling (Woolwich Township, NJ/Kingsway Regional). Gatling hit a lofty .750.
Freshman
Morgan Mulligan (New Gretna, NJ/Pinelands Regional) notched five kills and four aces, while her sister Jamie added four digs with her eight kills.
Freshman
Meghan Gallagher (Sicklerville, NJ/Paul VI) notched 13 assists, three aces and six digs, while freshman
Caitlynn Marcano (Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown) added 11 assists and three aces.
Senior co-captains
Caitlin Marchlowitz (Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) and
Melanie Kaiser (Somerdale, NJ/Sterling) collected nine and eight digs, respectively. Marchlowitz also added three service aces.

The Raptors ripped 38 kills, including 13 by Erskine, eight by Wilkerson and five apiece by Marchlowitz and
Jamie Mulligan.
Jamie Mulligan and Marchlowitz both added five digs, while Wilkerson had four digs. Marchlowitz also collected three service aces.
After hitting .750 in the opening match, Gatling hit .429 with four kills in the second match. She also collected two blocks, one solo and one assisted.
Gallagher had 15 assists and four digs for the Scarlet Raptors, while Marcano netted 14 assists, two aces and three digs.
Kaiser collected 24 digs and three assists and freshman
Natalie DiGiacomo (Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown) added four digs.
Wilkerson's 14 kills in the two matches raised her career total to 524, lifting her into sixth place on the all-time list. She passed Rebecca Brown (2010-12), who finished her career with 516.
