NEWARK, N.J. (Oct. 3, 2017) – The Rutgers University-Camden volleyball team stretched its winning streak to three matches as it swept past Rutgers-Newark, 3-0, here Tuesday night in New Jersey Athletic Conference competition.
The Scarlet Raptors won by scores of 25-12, 25-22 and 25-16.
Rutgers-Camden improves to 9-10 overall and 3-2 in the NJAVC, while Newark falls to 6-6 and 1-3.
The Scarlet Raptors ripped off 32 kills, including 10 by sophomore outside hitter
Jamie Mulligan (New Gretna, NJ/Pinelands Regional) and eight by senior outside hitter
Cortnee Wilkerson (Los Angeles, CA/West Adams Prep). Jamie Mulligan also added five service aces and five digs, while Wilkerson notched two service aces.

Caitlynn Marcano (Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown), pictured above, collected a match-high 14 assists and added six digs. Freshman setter
Alyson Lowe (Havertown, PA/Haverford) notched eight assists, four kills and five digs, while sophomore libero
Natalie DiGiacomo (Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown) had six assists and a team-high 10 digs.
Sophomore defensive specialist
Meghan Gallagher (Sicklerville/Paul VI) added six digs.
The Scarlet Raptors will look to even their record at .500 when they host Medgar Evers College in a non-conference match Thursday night at 7 p.m.
