MAHWAH, N.J. (April 24, 2021) – The Ramapo College men's tennis team swept the five singles matches and two doubles matches that were played here Saturday as they defeated Rutgers University-Camden, 7-0, in a New Jersey Athletic Conference match.
Ramapo improves to 1-2 overall and in the NJAC, earning the third seed for the upcoming East Division Tournament. Rutgers-Camden, at 0-3 overall and in the NJAC, will be the fourth seed.
Rutgers-Camden will play in the NJAC East Division Tournament semifinals on Friday, May 7, with a 1 p.m. match at top-seeded New Jersey City University.

Jose Vargas and junior
Jair Norman lost marathons at fifth and third singles, respectively. Norman was defeated at third singles, 7-5, 6-7 (5-10). Vargas was beat 7-5, 3-6 (6-10).
Freshman
Charles Dalisay lost at first singles, 1-6, 1-6 and freshman
Andrew Yuen dropped a 2-6, 1-6 decision at second singles. Another freshman,
Gavin Fernan, was defeated at fourth singles, 1-6, 0-6.
Dalisay and Yuen combined at first doubles, dropping a 4-8 decision. At second doubles, Vargas and Fernan lost, 2-8.
