CAMDEN, N.J. (Jan. 19, 2022) – The Stockton University women's basketball team placed four players in double figures, led by the double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds by senior forward Nalya Hill, as it defeated Rutgers University-Camden, 77-51, in a New Jersey Athletic Conference game here Wednesday night.
Stockton improves to 7-9 overall and 5-5 in the NJAC, while Rutgers-Camden falls to 2-10 and 1-9.
The Ospreys have won their last six games against the Scarlet Raptors and lead the all-time Series, 66-22.
Playing with only seven players due to health and safety protocols, the Scarlet Raptors hung tough with the Ospreys for most of the first half, even holding a one-point lead 1:49 into the second quarter. The Raptors grabbed that 22-21 edge on a layup and foul shot by junior forward
Salina Jones.
The teams were tied at 23-23 with 6:50 remaining before halftime, but the Ospreys took the lead for good, 25-23, moments later on a layup by senior guard Kadinah Harris-Hood. After another Osprey layup by freshman guard Sanaa Parks, the Scarlet Raptors cut their deficit to 29-27 on a jumper by sophomore forward
Carleigh Galasso. That shot, with 4:32 remaining before halftime, was the last points the Raptors managed in the first half, as Stockton closed out the second quarter with 12 straight points, with sophomore guard Adriyana Jennings scoring the first two and last two points of the run.
At halftime, the Ospreys held a 41-27 advantage and the Scarlet Raptors never came within single digits the rest of the way. The final score was Stockton's biggest lead of the night.
In addition to the double-double from Hill, freshman guard Madison LaRosa scored 17 points, sophomore guard Jordyn Madigan netted 13 and Parks added 11. Senior guard Grace Sacco dished out a game-high eight assists.

Stockton shot 29-for-56 (51.8 percent) from the floor and a blistering 15-for-16 (93.8) from the foul line, led by Hill's perfect 8-for-8.
Rutgers-Camden shot 17-for-45 (37.8) from the floor and 16-for-21 (76.2) from the line.
The Ospreys held a 34-24 advantage off the boards.
Rutgers-Camden returns to action Saturday when it hosts New Jersey City University in a 1 p.m. NJAC game.
