BETHLEHEM, Penn. (Oct. 8, 2022) – The Rutgers University-Camden men's tennis team had only four players for its match at Moravian University here Saturday and the Scarlet Raptors were swept by the Greyhounds, 9-0, in a non-conference match.
Moravian improves to 5-0, while Rutgers-Camden falls to 0-2.
The Scarlet Raptors' top singles player, junior
Edward McWilliams Jr., dropped a 6-2, 6-0 decision. At second singles, junior
Matthew Tepfer was defeated, 6-0, 6-0, and freshman
JoJo Nguyen lost at third singles, 6-1, 6-0. In the fourth spot,
Thanh Ngo made his Raptor debut and dropped a 6-0, 6-1 decision.
The first doubles team of McWilliams and Tepfer and the second doubles team of Nguyen and Ngo both lost 8-1 decisions.
The Scarlet Raptors forfeited their matches at fifth and sixth singles and at third doubles.
The Scarlet Raptors close out the fall portion of their schedule when they entertain York College of Pennsylvania at 12 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 15.
