MAHWAH, NJ (Feb. 16, 2022) – The Ramapo College women's basketball team went on a 24-10 second-quarter lead to establish a 17-point halftime lead and went on to defeat Rutgers University-Camden, 71-48, here Wednesday night in the final regular-season New Jersey Athletic Conference game for both teams.
The victory helped the Roadrunners complete a season sweep over the Scarlet Raptors, although only one game was played on the court. Rutgers-Camden was unable to play its first game of the season against the Roadrunners due to health and safety protocols, being forced to take a NJAC forfeit.
Ramapo closes the regular season with a 10-11 overall record and a 9-9 mark in the NJAC as it waits for a NJAC quarterfinal matchup next week. Rutgers-Camden finishes the regular season at 2-17 overall and 1-17 in the NJAC. It will be the 10th seed in the NJAC playoffs and will play a first-round game Saturday at No. 7 Stockton University at 5 p.m.
