JERSEY CITY, N.J. (April 16, 2022) – The Rutgers University-Camden baseball team watched New Jersey City University scored two runs in the bottom of the ninth inning to send the second game of a doubleheader into extra innings and then force home the winning run with a bases-loaded walk in the 10th inning here Saturday.
That frustrating ending left the Scarlet Raptors with a split of their New Jersey Athletic Conference doubleheader. Rutgers-Camden won the opener, 8-6, before losing the 10-inning nightcap, 6-5.
The split leaves the Raptors with a 17-13 record overall and a 4-6 NJAC mark. NJCU is 9-20 overall and 1-9 in the conference.
The Scarlet Raptors play a non-conference game at Arcadia University Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.
