JERSEY CITY, N.J. (October 19, 2024) – Sophomore forward
Brianne Reeves scored the first two goals of her collegiate career and added one assist here Saturday to power the Rutgers University-Camden women's soccer team over New Jersey City University, 3-1, in a New Jersey Athletic Conference game.
The Scarlet Raptors evened their record at 7-7-2 and raised their NJAC mark to 2-4. The Gothic Knights fell to 5-3-6 overall and 1-3-2 in conference play.
Rutgers-Camden raised its record to 19-7 in its all-time series against NJCU, snapping a two-game losing streak in the rivalry.
Reeves scored her first goal with only 22 seconds remaining in the first half to give the Scarlet Raptors a 1-0 halftime lead.

Jazmin Brown for what proved to be the game-winning goal at 71:33. It was the second goal of the season for Brown and gave Reeves her third assist.
Reeves continued her stellar afternoon with a goal at 76:01. She was assisted by freshman midfielder/forward
Asia Horne, whose third assist tied Reeves for the team lead.
The Gothic Knights spoiled the Raptors' shutout bid in the 81st minute on a goal by midfielder Samantha Szymanski. She was assisted by midfielder/forward Nyrohah Alvarenga.
The Scarlet Raptors held a 16-11 advantage in shots in the game. NJCU held a 7-5 edge in corner kicks.

Michaela Graham made four saves in her victory, while junior keeper Sophia Mannino had three saves.
The Scarlet Raptors return to action Wednesday with a 6 p.m. NJAC game at William Paterson University.
