CAMDEN, NJ (Oct. 19, 2024) – The Rutgers University-Camden volleyball team celebrated Senior Day here Saturday for its three departing players and the Scarlet Raptors ended up splitting a non-conference tri-match with Delaware Valley University and Hunter College.

Kaitlyn Parrish and middle blocker
Jessica Wiemer, the Scarlet Raptors swept Delaware Valley, 3-0 (25-14, 25-15 and 25-23). Hunter swept them, 3-0 (23-25, 19-25 and 20-25).
In the other match of the day, Hunter swept Delaware Valley, 3-0 (25-16, 25-19, 25-17). The results leave Rutgers-Camden with a 6-16 record, while Hunter is 17-5 and Delaware Valley is 7-15.
The Scarlet Raptors return to New Jersey Athletic Conference action on Tuesday when they play a 7 p.m. match at William Paterson University.

The Scarlet Raptors snapped a four-match losing streak by sweeping the Aggies.
Parrish led the attack with 12 kills, while freshman middle blocker
Gabby Gbolahan added 11 and hit .524. Sophomore outside hitter
Sofia Granieri collected 10 kills and completed a double-double with 13 digs.

JoAnna Andrews, collected 20 and 16 assists, respectively, while sophomore libero
Mia Owens had match-high totals of 14 digs and two service aces. Junior defensive specialist
Sophia LaPorta had 11 digs, while Andrews added eight.
Hunter 3, Rutgers-Camden 0
The Hawks continued their fine season with the victory, scoring the final two points in the opening set for their 25-23 victory, going on an 11-1 run midway through the second set to overcome a 13-10 deficit and ending the final set by scoring three of the last four points.
Parrish led the Scarlet Raptors with eight kills, while Wiemer, Gbolahan and Granieri added five apiece. Granieri also added a team-high 12 digs, while sophomore defensive specialist
Madison Snelgrove had eight digs. Owens, LaPorta and Andrews all added seven digs.
Ang and Andrews led the way in assists with 12 and nine, respectively, while Gbolahan collected four aces and LaPorta added two.
Parrish and McGregor had two assisted blocks apiece.
For Hunter, junior setter Bethany Tomaneng dished off 27 assists to fuel the Hawks' 37 kills. Junior outside hitter/right side Amina Moummad led Hunter with nine kills.
Senior libero Erin Dugan had a big match for the Hawks with 15 digs and seven service aces.
