WILLINGBORO, N.J. (Oct. 21, 2024) – The Rutgers University-Camden golf team posted its first victory of the fall season here Monday as it defeated five other teams to capture its annual RU-Camden Scarlet Raptor Fall Golf Invitational.

The event, held at the Par 71, 6,602-yard Rancocas Golf Club on a warm, sunny day, featured 29 golfers.

Pearse Lee was the individual medalist with a 3-over par 74, three strokes ahead of Paterson's Matt Lugo.
Rutgers-Camden also fielded a "B" team, which finished fifth out of the six teams with a 408 score.
In addition to Lee, the Raptors' A team was aided by junior
Reid Walker, who shot a 78 to finish third overall, and freshman
Andrew Slattery, who placed fourth with a round of 80. Sophomore
Santino Leone finished 11th with a round of 87, while junior
Glenn Foley tied for 12th with an 88.
The Rutgers-Camden B team saw freshman
Jared Bell finish 14th with an 89, while sophomore
John McPeak and freshman
Joel-Tyler Castro placed 21st and 25th, respectively, with rounds of 94 and 104. Senior
Gloria Campos rounded out the B team, placing 28th.
The Scarlet Raptors will close their fall semester schedule when they play at the two-day Lancaster Bible College Invitational Sunday and Monday at the Lebanon Country Club in Lebanon, Pennsylvania.
