CAMDEN, N.J. (April 20, 2024) – The Ramapo College women's tennis team wrapped up second place in the New Jersey Athletic Conference standings here Saturday as it defeated Rutgers University-Camden, 7-2.
The loss dropped the Scarlet Raptors to the fourth seed in the upcoming NJAC playoffs, setting up a semifinal match Wednesday at top-seeded The College of New Jersey at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Ramapo will host Stockton University in the other semifinal match.

The Roadrunners swept all three doubles matches, beating Raptor sophomore co-captains
Katie Moore and
Ashton Sirko at first doubles, 8-2, posting an 8-1 win over freshmen
Alyssa Peacock and
Nicoletta Troilo in the second spot and edging past junior
Jayde Sue Silva and freshman
Bella Martinez at third doubles, 8-5.
Sirko won a marathon match at third singles, 6-2, 4-6, 10-4 and Silva won at second singles, 6-1, 6-3.
Moore dropped her first singles match, 6-2, 6-0, and Peacock lost at fourth singles, 6-2, 6-1. Martinez was leading at fifth singles, 5-2, before an injury forced her to retire, giving the victory to her Ramapo opponent. Troilo lost at sixth singles, 6-4, 6-0.
