CAMDEN, N.J. (Sept. 21, 2024) – The Rutgers University-Camden men's tennis team tested its talents up one level as they hosted Division 2 Kutztown University here Saturday.
The Golden Bears came away with a 7-0 sweep of the Scarlet Raptors in Kutztown's season opener. It was the first loss of the season for the Scarlet Raptors, who fell to 2-1.
Kutztown earned the one point for doubles by sweeping all three matches. Graduate student

Alex Turcu lost at first doubles, 6-1, while freshman
Neal Shah and graduate student
Kenil Patwa were defeated, 6-2, at second doubles. In the third spot, sophomore
Julian Pinder and junior
Christopher Abacan lost a 6-0 match.
Kutztown swept all six singles matches, with Loope losing the closest one at first singles, 6-3, 6-3. Shah lost at second singles, 6-0, 6-0, and Patwa was defeated at third singles, 6-1, 6-0. In the fourth spot, junior
Thanh Ngo dropped a 6-0, 6-0 match, while Turcu also lost 6-0, 6-0 at fifth singles. In the sixth spot, sophomore
John Brady was defeated, 6-2, 6-0.
Rutgers-Camden returns to action Saturday, Sept. 28, with a 12 p.m. match at Penn State-Abington.
