MONTCLAIR, N.J. (Oct. 29, 2025) – The Rutgers University-Camden women's soccer team may have closed its regular-season New Jersey Athletic Conference schedule with a road defeat here Wednesday night, but the Scarlet Raptors still ended up on the winning end when it comes to the NJAC playoffs.
Despite a 2-0 loss to Montclair State University, the Scarlet Raptors clinched the fourth seed for the upcoming NJAC playoffs. They will host fifth-seeded New Jersey City University in a quarterfinal game on Saturday at 11 a.m. All tickets to the NJAC playoffs must be purchased electronically.
NJCU and Rutgers-Camden played to a 1-1 tie on October 18 in Jersey City.

In their final regular-season game, the Raptors watched Montclair State score a goal in each half on the way to a 2-0 victory.
The Red Hawks closed the regular season with a 12-0-5 record earned the regular-season NJAC title and top playoff seed. Montclair State, which owns a 27-0-4 all-time record against Rutgers-Camden, will get a first-round playoff bye and host a semifinal game on Tuesday.
Rutgers-Camden finished the regular season with a 4-7-7 record and a 3-4-2 mark in the NJAC.
Montclair State outshot Rutgers-Camden, 19-3, and held a 2-1 edge in corner kicks. The Red Hawks scored the only goal they needed 5:11 into the contest when senior forward Kylie Prendergast finished a pass from sophomore midfielder Samira Lukovic.
Lukovic added an insurance goal at 68:01, assisted by both senior back Ashley DeFrancesco and junior forward Gianna Curci.
