Raptors place four soccer players on CSC Academic All-District Teams
CAMDEN, N.J. (Nov. 25, 2025) – Three members of the Rutgers University-Camden men's soccer team and one member of the Scarlet Raptors' women's program were honored today when the College Sports Communicators announced its All-District Academic Teams.

Dylan Pino were named to the 2025 Division III Men's Academic All-District Teams, while senior forward
Maresa Savarese was named to the Women's Academic All-District Team. All four players are among the finalists who will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. A First, Second and Third Academic All-American team will be announced Dec. 16.
Garwood (Hanover, Jamaica/West Windsor-Plainsboro-South), a three-year Scarlet Raptor letterwinner and one of the Raptors' captains this fall, is a Criminal Justice major with a 3.50 GPA at Rutgers-Camden. He has appeared in 39 career games, starting 35, while contributing to 19 shutouts. He also owns one goal and one assist for three career points.
Garwood earned New Jersey Athletic Conference Honorable Mention as a sophomore and also captured NJAC Academic Honorable Mention for the 2024-25 scholastic year. A Dean's List student, he has been a member of the Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director's Honor Roll during all four of his full semesters on campus.
Grello (Delran, NJ/Delran) captured NJAC Honorable Mention this season after tying for the team lead in goals (5), assists (4), points (14) and game-winning goals (2), while starting all 19 Rutgers-Camden games. He scored game-winning goals against Arcadia (1-0, Sept. 9) and Rowan (4-3, Oct. 4).
A Finance major with a 3.68 GPA, he is a Dean's List student who was a member of the Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director's Honor Roll during both of his freshman semesters.
Pino (Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) captured NJAC Second Team honors this fall and also was named the NJAC Offensive Player of the Week on Oct. 6. He started all his 18 games and finished third on the team in scoring with four goals and four assists for 12 points. His four assists tied for the team lead and his one game-winning goal was the difference in a 2-1 victory against Rutgers-Newark on Oct. 1.
A Business major with a 3.70 GPA, Pino is a Dean's List student and was a member of the Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director's Honor Roll during both of his freshman semesters.
Savarese (Pittsgrove, NJ/Arthur P. Schalick) returned to the soccer pitch this season after missing her entire junior year due to injury. In only three seasons of play, the Raptors' team tri-captain etched her name among the program's all-time leaders with 13 goals (13th), five game-winning goals (tied for 11th) and 31 points (tied for 14th). She earned NJAC Honorable Mention as a freshman and NJAC Second Team recognition as a sophomore. She also was named the NJAC Offensive Player of the Week on Sept. 5, 2023, and was a two-time NJAC Rookie of the Week during her freshman season (Oct. 3 and Oct. 31, 2022).
A Nursing major with a 3.80 GPA, Savarese has been a Dean's List student and a member of the Rutgers-Camden Athletic Director's Honor Roll in all six of her full semesters on campus, posting a 4.0 GPA in three of them.
