CAMDEN, N.J. (Nov. 8, 2025) – The Drew University women's basketball team scored the game's first four points and eventually pulled away to defeat Rutgers University-Camden, 71-57, in the season opener for both teams here Saturday night.
The Rangers led 21-15 after one quarter, 41-34 at the half and 57-45 after three quarters.
Late in the third quarter, the Scarlet Raptors cut their gap to 50-45 on consecutive field goals by junior guard/forward
Tamea El. Drew countered by scoring the last seven points of the frame and led by as many as 17 points (70-53) in the fourth quarter.
Junior guard Amy Rachilla paced the winners with 21 points and four assists, while junior guard Miabella Diaz had 16 points and senior forward Gianna Pica added nine points. Diaz, Pica and junior guard Olivia Aliotta all had five rebounds for Drew.
Rutgers-Camden received 16 points apiece from sophomore forward
Courtney Edmundo and El. Edmundo added eight rebounds, while El collected seven.

Drew shot 24-for-41 (58.5) from the floor and 16-for-24 (66.7) from the line, while Rutgers-Camden went 23-for-60 (38.3) from the floor and 9-for-13 (69.2) from the line. The Raptors had a 33-32 edge off the boards and Drew made five more turnovers (26-21).
Rutgers-Camden returns to action on Tuesday when it plays a 7:30 p.m. game at Haverford College.
