MAHWAH, N.J. (Dec. 6, 2025) – The Rutgers University-Camden women's basketball team scored the first seven points of its game here Saturday and went on to post a 53-41 win over Ramapo College in a New Jersey Athletic Conference contest.
The Scarlet Raptors, 5-4 overall and 2-1 in NJAC play, led all the way, although Ramapo closed the gap to 9-8 by the end of the opening quarter. Rutgers-Camden opened up its margin with a 23-12 second-quarter run to lead 32-20 at halftime.
Ramapo dropped to 4-5 overall and 0-3 in the NJAC. It was the third straight win for Rutgers-Camden against the Roadrunners over the past two seasons and hiked the Scarlet Raptors' lead in the all-time series to 45-28.

Tamyia Collier added the next four points. Ramapo didn't score its first points until 3:56 into the game.
By halftime, junior guard/forward
Tamea El had nine points, Collier had eight and Edmundo had seven. El also grabbed nine first-half rebounds. The transfer from Goldey-Beacom College went on to collect her first double-double at Rutgers-Camden, finishing with 11 points and 14 rebounds. Edmundo, meanwhile, notched her fourth double-double of the season with 10 points and 12 boards, while Collier barely missed a double-double of her own. She finished with a game-high 17 points and added nine rebounds.
Rutgers-Camden led, 43-31, entering the fourth quarter.
El added a team-high four assists, while Collier led the Raptors with three steals. Freshman forward
Zairra Galloway had a game-high two blocked shots for Rutgers-Camden.
Ramapo received nine points from freshman forward Vanessa Kohler. Another freshman forward, Ava Burke, paced the Roadrunners with eight rebounds, while freshman guard Denay Jones had a game-high five assists and tied the Raptors' Collier for game-high honors with three steals.
Rutgers-Camden shot 19-for-61 (31.1 percent) from the floor and Ramapo went 14-for-52 (26.9). From the foul line the Raptors went 13-for-20 (65.0) and the Roadrunners were 13-for-17 (76.5).
Rutgers-Camden held a 49-37 advantage off the boards and also made three more turnovers (22-19) than Ramapo.
The Scarlet Raptors return to NJAC action on Wednesday when they host The College of New Jersey in a 6 p.m. NJAC game.
