CAMDEN, N.J. (April 21, 2025) –The Rutgers University-Camden women's tennis team closed out its regular-season schedule in style, sweeping past Bryn Athyn College, 7-0, in a non-conference match here Monday.
The victory was the fourth straight for Rutgers-Camden, all by 7-0 scores, and lifts the Scarlet Raptors to 10-6. Bryn Athyn closes its season at 1-10.
Rutgers-Camden saw seven different players contribute to the win, including five players who picked up wins in both singles and doubles.
The Scarlet Raptors picked up the one point for doubles play by sweeping all three matches. At first doubles, junior co-captains
Katie Moore and
Ashton Sirko posted a 6-1 victory, while the second doubles team of freshmen
Jilliane Jaugan and
Elif Ozbay earned a 6-0 win. The third doubles team of junior
Bryn Kelleher and freshman
Emma D'Amico also earned a 6-0 win.
Moore swept her match at first singles, 6-0, 6-0, while Kelleher earned a 6-1, 6-3 win at second singles. Sirko, D'Amico and Ozbay all earned 6-0, 6-0 wins at third, fourth and fifth singles, respectively. In the sixth flight, sophomore
Alyssa Peacock captured a 6-1, 6-3 victory.
The Scarlet Raptors will play a New Jersey Athletic Conference semifinal match Wednesday at 4 p.m. in Galloway, when they face Stockton University.
