Leone leads Raptor golfers at FDU Invitational
MENDHAM, N.J. (Sept. 15, 2025) – The Rutgers University-Camden golf team continued its strong early-season showing here Monday as the Scarlet Raptors finished third out of 11 teams at the FDU Invitational.
The Raptors' performance comes off a season-opening outing on Sept. 9, when they finished fourth out of 13 teams at the Pioneer Fall Invitational.
The FDU Invitational was held at the Par 72 Mendham Golf & Tennis Club and hosted by FDU-Florham.
Kean University won the event with a 15-over par 303. The Cougars were led by medalist Logan Perrone, who shot a 2-under par 70 in a field of 66 golfers.
Junior
Santino Leone paced the Scarlet Raptors with a round of 6-over par 78, tying for eighth place. Freshman
Noah Eichenbaum tied for 14th with an 81, while sophomore
Andrew Slattery tied for 26th with an 84. Senior
Reid Walker, making his first appearance of the fall season, shot an 85 to tie for 28th, while freshman
Nick Seaver rounded out the Rutgers-Camden team with an 87, tying for 35th.
The Scarlet Raptors will be back in action September 25 when they compete at Kean University's Cougar Invitational, held at the Galloping Hill Golf Course in Kenilworth.
