LANGHORNE, Penn. (Sept. 19, 2025) – The Rutgers University-Camden men's tennis team raised its record to 2-0 here Friday afternoon, defeating Cairn University, 6-1.
The Scarlet Raptors earned the one point for doubles by sweeping all three matches. Freshman
Max Cabida and junior
Julian Pinder posted a 6-0 victory at the top flight, while senior
Christopher Abacan and freshman
Isan Salamanca posted a 6-3 win at second doubles. In the third spot, juniors
Mike Olsen and
John Brady notched a tight 6-2 victory.
Cabida won his match at first singles, 6-0, 6-0, while Pinder captured a 7-5, 3-6, 10-6 win at second singles. Abacan was defeated at third singles, 6-1, 7-5, but Olsen rallied for a 3-6, 6-4, 6-3 win at Flight 4. In the fifth spot, Brady posted a 6-4, 6-3 victory, while Salamanca won at Flight 6, 6-1, 6-3.
The Scarlet Raptors return to action Friday when they host Eastern University at 3:30 p.m.
