CAMDEN, N.J. (Jan. 10, 2026) – The Rutgers University-Camden women's basketball team opened up a 24-point halftime lead and went on to defeat Kean University, 66-38, in a New Jersey Athletic Conference game here Saturday afternoon.
The Scarlet Raptors evened their record at 7-7 overall and improved to 4-3 in NJAC play, snapping a three-game losing streak.
Kean fell to 1-10 overall and 1-6 in the NJAC.
The Raptors' win snapped an eight-game losing streak in their NJAC rivalry with Kean, beating the Cougars for the first time since an 84-75 road win on Feb. 1, 2020. Kean still leads the all-time series, 58-24.
Rutgers-Camden never trailed in the game and was tied only once, at 7-7, before scoring the next six points to grab the lead for good. The Scarlet Raptors led, 13-9, after one quarter before increasing their lead with a 26-6 run in the second quarter. They led, 39-15, at halftime.
Rutgers-Camden led by as many as 32 points (58-26) in the second half.

Courtney Edmundo scored a game-high 16 points and junior guard
Gabriella Toledo added 14 to lead eight Scarlet Raptors in the scoring column. Junior guard/forward
Tamea El and freshman guard
Tamyia Collier shared game-high rebounding honors with seven apiece, while El also added seven points and four assists. Collier scored nine points and Toledo had a game-high five steals.
Kean received 13 points from junior guard Brooke Sztenderowicz.
Rutgers-Camden shot 19-for-59 (32.2 percent) from the floor and 23-for-31 (74.2) from the foul line, while Kean went 13-for-44 (29.5) from the floor and 7-for-10 (70.0) from the line. The Cougars held a 38-37 edge off the boards.
The Scarlet Raptors return to NJAC action on Wednesday with a 5:30 p.m. game at New Jersey City University.
