EWING, N.J. (Feb. 4, 2026) – The College of New Jersey women's basketball team placed four players in double digits, including 18 points apiece by senior guard Katie Fricker and junior forward Riley Ahrens, as it defeated Rutgers University-Camden, 81-61, in a New Jersey Athletic Conference game here Wednesday night.
The win was the fourth straight for the Lions, who improved to 12-9 overall and 11-3 in the NJAC.
Rutgers-Camden falls to 11-10 overall and 8-6 in the NJAC.
Although the two teams split their season series, the Lions now have a 71-13 lead over the Scarlet Raptors in the all-time series.
In a tight game through the early going, the two teams traded the lead nine times before a layup and foul shot by Fricker gave the Lions the lead at 22-19. The Scarlet Raptors tied the game moments later at 24-24 on a three-pointer by junior guard
Gabriella Toledo, but two free throws and an ensuing layup by Ahrens gave TCNJ the lead for good.
The Lions scored 12 of the final 14 points of the second quarter to take a 36-26 halftime lead. They led, 56-47, heading into the fourth quarter.
In addition to Ahrens and Fricker, sophomore guard Amanda Baylock scored 16 points and junior guard Grace Kowalski added 12 points and a game-high six assists for the Lions.

Courtney Edmundo had another spectacular performance with game-high totals of 26 points and a career-high 17 rebounds. She passed her previous rebounding high of 16, accomplished three times this season while recording her seventh straight double-double and her 12th of the season.

Hope Goodwine scored on a layup to notch her 500th career point and she went on to score nine points, leaving her at 507 career points.
TCNJ shot 29-for-71 from the floor (40.8 percent) and 11-for-12 from the foul line (91.7), while Rutgers-Camden was 24-for-62 (38.7) from the floor and 7-for-9 (77.8) from the line. The Lions held a 40-37 edge in rebounding and forced 16 Rutgers-Camden turnovers while committing only eight.
Rutgers-Camden returns to NJAC action on Saturday with a 3 p.m. game at Kean University.
