WILKES-BARRE, Penn. (March 29, 2026) – When the Rutgers University-Camden men's tennis team opened its spring schedule here on Sunday, the difference for the Scarlet Raptors came down to doubles play.
While both Rutgers-Camden and King's College won three singles matches apiece, the Monarchs took two of the three doubles matches to earn one point. That point turned out to be the difference as King's beat the Scarlet Raptors, 4-3.
The win was the first of the season for King's, which improves to 1-5. Rutgers-Camden fell to 2-5 with its combined fall and spring record.

Max Cabida and junior
Julian Pinder posted a 6-4 victory at the top spot. Rutgers-Camden lost, 5-7, at second doubles with freshman
Ben Try teamed with freshman
Isan Salamanca. At third doubles, juniors
John Brady and
Mike Olsen dropped a 4-6 decision.
Cabida won at first singles, 6-2, 6-1, while Pinder dropped a 6-7 (5-7), 3-6 decision at the second flight. Try was defeated at third singles, 1-6, 0-6, Brady won at the fourth spot, 7-5, 6-0, and Olsen won fifth singles, 6-2, 6-1. Salamanca was defeated at sixth singles, 3-6, 2-6.
The Scarlet Raptors' abbreviated spring schedule closes April 18 with a pair of Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference matches played at The College of New Jersey. Rutgers-Camden will face SUNY-Oneonta at 10 a.m. and TCNJ at 12:30 p.m.
