CAMDEN, N.J. (April 16, 2026) – Junior
Austin Wokock hurled seven strong innings and the Rutgers University-Camden offense banged out 18 hits as the Scarlet Raptors snapped their six-game losing streak with a 19-9 win over Stockton University in a New Jersey Athletic Conference game here Thursday.
The Scarlet Raptors improved to 15-16 overall and snapped a four-game NJAC losing streak to improve to 7-4 in the conference.
Stockton fell to 7-22 overall and 3-8 in NJAC play.
Wokock allowed only five hits and two earned runs in his seven-inning start, while raising his record to 5-1. He struck out five and didn't walk any batters.

Gavin McCaffrey singled home the second run of the frame.
Stockton came right back in the top of the third to tie the game on three hits, sparked by a leadoff double from junior right fielder Russell Halvorsen. Sophomore second baseman Dom Vizzoni and freshman left fielder Jimmy Casey had RBI singles in the frame.
Rutgers-Camden took the lead for good with a four-run bottom of the third, highlighted by two hits, two hit batsmen, a walk and two errors. Sophomore third baseman

The Scarlet Raptors tacked on a run in the bottom of the fifth inning on an RBI single by sophomore designated hitter
Jake Slusarski, scored four times in the sixth and sent 14 batters to the plate in the seventh inning, scoring eight times. The big hits in the inning were a two-run single by junior center fielder
Jacob Watson and a two-run double by sophomore first baseman
Ryan Joseph.
Stockton scored seven runs in the top of the ninth to make the score closer than it was.
McGinley went 3-for-5 with four runs and one RBI for the Scarlet Raptors, while Joseph was 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBIs and Watson went 3-for-5 with two runs and three RBIs. Junior catcher
Julian Gonzalez, who entered the game in the eight-run seventh inning, had a pair of RBI singles in that frame and also scored a run. Slusarski also had a pair of hits on the day, going 2-for-4 with two walks and two RBIs.
Casey went 3-for-5 with four RBIs for Stockton, including a bases-clearing double in the ninth inning.
Stockton hosts Rutgers-Camden in a 3:30 p.m. game on Friday before both teams play home NJAC doubleheaders on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. Rutgers-Camden will host Montclair State University and Stockton will entertain William Paterson University.
