Scarlet Raptor golfers win Pioneer Spring Invitational

WAYNE, N.J. (April 2, 2026) – The Rutgers University-Camden golf team placed two of its players in the top three here Thursday as the Scarlet Raptors finished first out of four teams at the Pioneer Spring Invitational.
 
The invitational, hosted by William Paterson University, was held at the Par 70, 6,322-yard Preakness Valley Golf Club.
 
Rutgers-Camden shot a 304 team score in winning its first invitational of the spring and first since it topped the field at the RU-Camden Scarlet Raptor Invitational on Oct. 27, 2025. The Raptors finished nine strokes ahead of both Delaware Valley University and the Stevens B team, which tied at 313. Host William Paterson shot a 339.
 
Jack Brennan of Delaware Valley was the medalist with a 71 score, one stroke ahead of Rutgers-Camden senior Pearse Lee and two stokes ahead of Raptor junior Santino Leone in a field of 37 golfers. Sophomore Andrew Slattery tied for seventh place with a 79.
 
Senior Reid Walker finished with a round of 80 to tie for 12th place, while freshman Nick Seaver tied for 16th with an 84. Senior Ryan Macuch shot an 85 to tie for 18th place.
 
Rutgers-Camden returns to action on Thursday, April 9, when it plays at the Susquehanna Spring Invitational, which will be held at the Susquehanna Valley Country Club in Hummels Wharf, Pennsylvania.
