HARRISBURG, Penn. (April 25, 2026) – The Rutgers University-Camden golf team shot the best round of the day on a miserable day here Saturday during the final round of the United East Championships. Unfortunately for the Scarlet Raptors, a big setback during Friday's first round proved costly as the Scarlet Raptors finished fourth in the eight-team conference meet.

Rutgers-Camden, which originally had shot a 307 during Friday's round, had an incorrect scorecard entry that nullified its lowest score, leading to a team total of 319. And despite shooting a round of 309 in the rain and cold on Saturday – eight strokes better than the next team – the Scarlet Raptors couldn't make up the lost ground. They finished with a two-day total of 319-309—628, 16 strokes behind eventual champion Penn College (293-319—612). Had the Raptors not lost 12 strokes on Friday, they would have tied for second place with Penn State-Harrisburg, (297-319—616).

Rutgers-Camden finished with a pair of United East First Team players in senior Pearse Lee (76-76—152) and sophomore Andrew Slattery (74-78—152). That duo tied for fourth place in the field of 39 golfers.

Rutgers-Camden senior Reid Walker tied for 20th with a two-day total of 85-76—161, while freshman Nick Seaver shot 84-85—169 to place in a tie for 27th place. Junior Santino Leone, whose round of 73 was discarded on Friday, shot a 79 on the final day.
