CAMDEN, N.J. – Joe Kennedy's goal in the 37^th minute was all Rutgers-Camden needed as the Scarlet Raptors (3-4-1) defeated Alvernia (4-3-1), 1-0, in men's soccer action on Wednesday night.

The win snapped a three-match skid for the Scarlet Raptors, who start conference play on Saturday afternoon.

Kennedy's goal – his first of the season – came off a pass from Okafor Norkeh near the top of the box.

From there, goalkeeper Joe Zubert did the rest, making eight saves to earn the clean sheet.
