Senior guard/forward Kamari Talley added two more double-doubles to her total last week as the Rutgers-Camden women’s basketball team closed out the regular season with a victory over New Jersey City University (Feb. 17) and lost a close game in the first round of the New Jersey Athletic Conference playoffs at Stockton University (Feb. 20). Against NJCU, Talley collected 25 points, 13 rebounds, two assists, one steal and one blocked shot. She added 19 points, 13 boards, two assists and three steals against Stockton. The NJCU game marked her fifth contest this year scoring at least 25 points. In 22 games this season, Talley owns 20 double-doubles, while averaging 21.1 points and 13.5 rebounds for the Scarlet Raptors, who are hoping to extend their season when the ECAC playoff berths are announced Feb. 29. Talley leads the NJAC in rebounding and offensive rebounding (6.3 rpg), ranks second in scoring, third in defensive rebounding (7.2 rpg) and fifth in steals (2.9 spg). She has been a four-time NJAC Player of the Week this season and a three-time ECAC Division III Metro Player of the Week. She also was Rutgers-Camden’s Raptor of the Week on December 14.
