Junior sprinter Trey Gilliard had another stellar performance for the Rutgers University-Camden men’s indoor track team on Saturday. One of three Scarlet Raptors who ran at the Ramapo College Indoor Select Meet at the New Balance Armory in New York, Gilliard finished sixth of 38 athletes in the 200-meter dash with an ECAC-qualifying time of 22.37. He also clocked a 7.15 time in the preliminaries of the 60-meter dash to finish ninth of 38 athletes and barely missed qualifying for the eight-man finals. Earlier this season, at the Bow Tie Classic Dec. 6, Gilliard ran an ECAC qualifier in the 60-meter dash while setting a Rutgers-Camden program record of 7.07. During his career he also has helped to set three other program records in relays, including the 4x200 during indoor season and a pair of outdoor marks in the 4x100 and 4x400.
