Box Score MADISON, N.J. (Sept. 7, 2014) – One day after securing their first victory of the season, the Rutgers University-Camden women's soccer team built an early lead in their second game at the Drew Fall Festival, but a pair of second-half goals lifted the host Rangers over the Scarlet Raptors, 2-1, here Sunday.

The Raptors, who fall to 1-3, held a 12-11 advantage in shots and a 4-3 edge in corner kicks during the game. They struck first at 8:37 when a shot by sophomore midfielder Sara Bockius (Medford, NJ/Shawnee) deflected off a Drew defender and into the net. It was the first goal at Rutgers-Camden for the Scarlet Raptor newcomer.

That goal, coming on the heels of a 3-0 win over Elms College Saturday, lifted the Raptors to a 1-0 halftime lead, but the host team countered with a pair of goals after the break.

Junior forward Emma Campbell (Cresskill, NJ/Cresskill) tied the game at 57:29, netting her fourth goal of the season on a shot from the corner of the box. She was assisted by junior midfielder Danielle Cowan (Staten Island, NY/Bay Ridge Prep).

The Rangers notched the winning goal 11 minutes later. Freshman back Thalia Santacruz (Rahway, NJ/The Academy for Informational Technology) sent a cross in front of the goal line and it was finished by freshman midfielder Katie Weber (Newton, NJ/Newton).

Scarlet Raptor freshman goalie Katie Gurba (Westampton, NJ/Holy Cross) made five saves in the game. Drew split keepers, with junior Sara Nash (Kingston, WA/Kingston) making six saves and allowing the one goal in 67:08 of playing time, while sophomore Ryan Jackson (Freehold, NJ/Freehold Township) made two saves in 22:52.

Penn State-Behrend, which ripped Elms College, 7-0, in Sunday's other game, won the Drew Fall Festival title with a perfect 2-0 record.

The Scarlet Raptors return to action Thursday when they host Widener University at 7 p.m.
