Andrew Gottstein (Bloomsburg, PA/Bloomsburg) worked six shutout innings and sophomore left fielder 
Joe Brooks (Blackwood, NJ/Gloucester Catholic) collected five RBIs on two hits, including a grand slam, to power the Rutgers University-Camden baseball team over Eastern University, 8-0, here Monday in a non-conference Senior Day game. 
The Scarlet Raptors, who improve to 21-14 with their third straight win, celebrated the collegiate career of five seniors: 
Adam Bartholomew (Haddon Heights, NJ/Bishop Eustace Prep), Connor Hall (Delran, NJ/Delran), Ed King (Riverton, NJ/Holy Cross), Bobby Romano (Vineland, NJ/Vineland) and 
Jeff Singer (Cinnaminson, NJ/Holy Cross). Eastern fell to 14-21, snapping a three-game winning streak. 
Rutgers-Camden collected 10 hits and nine walks off of six Eastern pitchers, breaking the game open with a five-run second inning. Sophomore shortstop 
Pedro Perez (Burlington, NJ/Burlington City) walked to open the frame against Eagles starter and losing pitcher 
Tyler Sterkenburg (Emmaus, PA/Emmaus). He advanced to third on a pair of ground outs and scored on a bunt single by sophomore center fielder 
Zach Ellin (Marlton, NJ/Cherokee). Junior third baseman 
Brett Tenuto (Audubon, NJ/Gloucester Catholic) and sophomore catcher 
Jon Theckston (Gloucester City, NJ/Gloucester Catholic) followed with walks, loading the bases and ending Sterkenburg's day. Junior 
Andrew Check (Doylestown, PA/Central Bucks West) relieved Sterkenburg and immediately gave up a grand slam to Brooks. His second home run of the season went over the right field fence. 
The Raptors added a run in the fourth on a sacrifice fly by Theckston. They added two more runs in the sixth on a RBI single by Brooks and a sacrifice fly by Bartholomew, his third sacrifice fly in three games. 
Brooks finished the day 2-for-4 with one run and five RBIs, while Hall also went 2-for-4. 
Gottstein, meanwhile, worked six innings of five-hit ball, walking one and striking out five, to raise his record to 3-2. He combined with Perez and junior twins 
Alex Scarlett (Galloway, NJ/Holy Spirit) and 
Chris Scarlett (Galloway, NJ/Holy Spirit) on the seven-hit shutout. Perez and both Scarlett brothers worked one inning apiece. 
Sterkenburg (0-2) took the loss, working 1.2 innings and allowing one hit, four walks and four earned runs. 
Rutgers-Camden returns to action Tuesday when it hosts The College of New Jersey at 3:30 p.m. in the first round of the New Jersey Athletic Conference. The Scarlet Raptors are the top seed in the six-team, double-elimination tournament after winning the NJAC regular-season crown for the second straight year.
