CAMDEN, N.J. (April 16, 2016) – The Rutgers University-Camden men's tennis team grabbed itself a distinctive piece of program history here Saturday as it swept Albertus Magnus College, 9-0, for the first Great Northeast Athletic Conference victory in school history.

Rutgers-Camden, which is in its second season as a member of the GNAC, was 0-3 in its first season as a conference member last year before winning its GNAC opener against the visitors from New Haven, Connecticut. The win also lifts the Scarlet Raptors' record to 3-4 overall under first-year Head Coach
Casey McCullough, one more win than the program had during a 2-9 campaign last spring.
Albertus Magnus, which also dropped a 9-0 GNAC decision at Ramapo College on its way down to Rutgers-Camden Saturday, falls to 0-2 in the conference and 5-3 overall.
The Scarlet Raptors received a 7-5, 4-0 (retired) win from junior
Anthony Gendin (Voorhees, NJ/Eastern Regional) at first singles, while senior
Drew Delengowski (West Deptford, NJ/Gloucester Catholic) posted a 6-1, 6-2 win at second singles. Junior
Ryan Christopher (Washington Township, NJ/Washington Township) won at third singles, 6-0, 6-1, and senior
Onkar Singh (Sicklerville, NJ/Timber Creek) was a 6-1, 6-3 victor at fourth singles.

Jason Lin (Shirley, NY/William Floyd) captured a win at fifth singles, 7-5, 3-6, 10-2, and sophomore
Jake Collette-Nippins (Somerdale, NJ/Sterling) rallied to win at sixth singles, 1-6, 7-6 (7-5), 10-6.
The Scarlet Raptors also swept the doubles competition, with Lin and Delengowski winning at first doubles, 9-7, Gendin and Christopher teaming up for an 8-1 win at second doubles and Singh and Collette-Nippins posting an 8-6 victory at third doubles.
The Scarlet Raptors return to action Wednesday when they host Berkeley College in a 4:30 p.m. non-conference match.
