Box Score

MADISON, N.J. (Sept. 10, 2016) – The Rutgers University-Camden women's soccer team is doing things the team hasn't done in a decade, and the Scarlet Raptors added another point to their early-season total here Saturday at the Drew Fall Festival.

On a blazing hot day, the Raptors worked double overtime to tie host Drew University, 1-1. Rutgers-Camden extended its unbeaten streak to three games (2-0-1) while raising its record to 2-1-1, with the only loss coming on opening day against 12th-ranked Swarthmore College. The Raptors own a 2-1-1 mark for the first time since 2007.

In the other game of the day, Moravian College edged Stockton University, 2-1.

Sunday's pre-determined matchups pit Rutgers-Camden against Moravian at 2 p.m. and Stockton against Drew at 4 p.m.

Rutgers-Camden scored the game's first goal at 19:16 when freshman Sarah Zuzulock (National Park, NJ/Gateway Regional) assisted on a tally by senior Catherine Fiore (Collingswood, NJ/Paul VI). Zuzulock sent a long ball into the box that bounded past Drew keeper Andee Higgins, and Fiore knocked in her first goal of the season. It was her 18th career tally, moving her alone into eighth place on the program's all-time list. She had been tied for eighth place with Jasmine Philip (1999-02). The assist was Zuzulock's first collegiate point.

Drew evened the score in the 64th minute when Caroline Kelly finished off a goal from a saved header attempt by Katie Weber.

Both teams ended up with 12 shots and five corner kicks. Higgins played the first 45 minutes in goal for the Rangers, allowing one goal, and Ryan Jackson played the final 65 minutes, making all five Drew saves.

Raptor junior keeper Katie Gurba (Westampton, NJ/Holy Cross) made six saves in the game, including a big save at the very end of the second overtime to preserve the tie.
