GLASSBORO, N.J. (Oct. 11, 2017) – The Rowan University women's soccer team has been one of the top clubs in Division III throughout the season and the nationally-ranked Profs  looked the part in Wednesday night's New Jersey Athletic Conference game against Rutgers University-Camden.
 
Rowan scored a pair of goals in both halves and out-shot the Scarlet Raptors, 31-4, as they posted a 4-0 conference victory over Rutgers-Camden.
 
Rowan, ranked No. 17 in the latest United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III poll and receiving 29 votes toward the 
D3soccer.com Top 25 poll, improved to 10-1-2 overall and 5-0-1 in the NJAC. The Profs are 10-0-1 in their last 11 games this season and own a 17-0-2 record in their all-time series against Rutgers-Camden.
 
The Scarlet Raptors dropped to 5-8 overall and 1-5 in the NJAC.
 
Rowan received first-half goals from junior forward 
Cathryn McCarry (Sewell, NJ/Washington Township) and senior forward 
Lauren Coletti (Matawan, NJ/Old Bridge), assisted by senior forward 
Melissa Kelly (Pine Brook, NJ/DePaul Catholic) and freshman midfielder 
Lauren Wood (Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown). McCarry gave the Profs the lead for good, assisted by Kelly, at 29:38. Coletti struck five minutes later, assisted by Wood.
 
Kelly made it a 3-0 game in the 55th minute with an unassisted goal on a shot from inside the box on the left side. The Profs added their final goal at 83:10 when senior midfielder 
Morgan Myers (Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown) finished off a restart by junior back 
Ali Hicks (Toms River, NJ/Toms River North), which also included an assist from freshman midfielder 
Lyndsey Vito (Glassboro, NJ/Glassboro).
 
The Profs out-shot the Scarlet Raptors, 11-2, in the first half and 20-2 in the second half, forcing Rutgers-Camden senior goalie 
Katie Gurba (Westampton, NJ/Holy Cross),  pictured above, to make 13 saves. It was Gurba's high for saves this season and one shy of her career high, set last season against The College of New Jersey.

Shelby Money (Vineland, NJ/Vineland) earned the shutout with two saves.
 
The Scarlet Raptors return to action Saturday, entertaining Kean University in a 1 p.m. NJAC game.
