After a scoreless first half, the Scarlet Raptors jumped on the board in the 51st minute on a goal by junior back Brian Palangi (Deptford, NJ/Deptford). Allen's corner kick was finished by Palangi, who just snuck it over the goal line on a shot from the box. For Palangi, a transfer from Rowan College at Gloucester County, it was his first goal at Rutgers-Camden. It was the second assist of the season and his career for Allen.

Swarthmore tied the game at 72:15 on a goal by junior back Kevin Murphy (Wallingford, PA/Strath Haven), who chest-trapped a feed from freshman forward Julian Bueno (Harlem, NY/NYC iSchool) and tapped in the goal.

Rutgers-Camden answered almost immediately as Allen's corner kick was headed into the goal by junior back Darnell Brown (Cinnaminson, NJ/Cinnaminson) only 1:35 later. Brown's fourth goal of the season also was his first career game winner.

Rutgers-Camden junior goalie James Brett (Palmyra, NJ/Palmyra), pictured above, made five saves to earn the victory. Swarthmore sophomore Oliver Steinglass (Washington, DC/Washington International) played the first 60 minutes in goal, making all three Garnet saves and allowing one goal. Freshman Christian Alfaro (Chicago, IL/Muchin College Prep) played the final 30 minutes, allowing one goal without a save.

Swarthmore held a 17-12 edge in shots, while Rutgers-Camden had a 7-2 advantage in corner kicks.

Rutgers-Camden returns to action on Thursday when it plays a non-conference game at Lancaster Bible College, beginning at 3:30 p.m.
