CAMDEN N.J. (Oct. 27, 2021) – The Rutgers University-Camden men's soccer came into its Senior Night game here Wednesday knowing that it needed a victory to qualify for the New Jersey Athletic Conference playoffs.
Rowan University wasn't in quite as dire a circumstance, but the Profs knew that a combination of potential outcomes could eliminate them from the playoffs if they didn't win.
The Profs left little doubt about their playoff berth and eliminated the Scarlet Raptors as they defeated Rutgers-Camden in NJAC action, 3-0. The win lifts Rowan to 10-3-1 overall and 5-3-1 in the conference, earning the Profs the fourth seed and a home game when the NJAC playoffs start Saturday.
Rutgers-Camden falls to 8-8-3 overall and finishes at 4-5 in conference play as it misses the NJAC playoffs for the first time since 2017. The Scarlet Raptors will wait to see if they are selected for an ECAC tournament berth.
Prior to the game, Rutgers-Camden honored departing players
Isai Aguilar, Skyler Diggs, Dylan Kazmierowicz, Tyler Kazmierowicz, Kaito Kitazawa, Luis Rivadeneira and
