GLASSBORO, N.J. (Sept. 4, 2021) – The Adrian College women's soccer team scored a pair of second-half goals as it rallied past Rutgers University-Camden, 2-1, in a game held at Rowan University Saturday afternoon.
Both teams own 1-1 records in the early season.
The Scarlet Raptors scored their lone goal only 3:27 into the game when senior midfielder
Bella Callender sent a cross into the box from the left side. It was finished on a high shot by junior midfielder
Maggie Horn. It was the first career point for Callender.

Chloe Beasley made three saves in the opening half for the Scarlet Raptors, who held a 1-0 lead at halftime. Adrian, however, scored a pair of goals after the break, including the tying shot by sophomore Morgan Wands on a high arching shot from 30 yards into the left corner, past Raptor sophomore keeper
Kayla McKeever.
A free kick set up the Bulldogs' winning goal in the 74th minute. Senior McKenna Mahoney laced a shot into the top of the net at 73:25.
Adrian finished with a 15-8 advantage in shots and a 9-2 lead in corner kicks. McKeever made four saves in the second half for Rutgers-Camden, while sophomore keeper Taylor Fischer had four saves in the game for Adrian..
The Scarlet Raptors return to action on Wednesday with a 7 p.m. game at Alvernia University.
