Laurel DiStefano captured wins at second doubles and fourth singles, but the Scarlet Raptors lost to York College of Pennsylvania, 6-3, here Saturday afternoon.
The Scarlet Raptors closed the fall portion of their schedule with a 1-4 record and will resume action in the spring semester.
York will take a 3-2 record into its final fall match Sunday, when it entertains Catholic University of America at 12 p.m.
DiStefano teamed with junior co-captain
Samantha Hoban for an 8-1 win at second doubles, while also winning her fourth singles match when her opponent retired. The Raptors' other win came from first singles, where junior
Sarah Ahrens and freshman
Katie Moore posted an 8-6 victory.
Rutgers-Camden, which had only five players, was forced to forfeit both the third doubles and sixth singles matches.
At first singles, Ahrens suffered her first loss of the year, 4-6, 7-5, 8-10, while Hoban was defeated at second singles, 1-6, 6-4, 6-7 (5-7). Moore lost at third singles, 4-6, 4-6 and freshman
Ashton Sirko was defeated at fifth singles, 2-6, 1-6.
