CAMDEN, N.J. (April 22, 2022) – The shorthanded Rutgers University-Camden men's tennis team closed its season here Friday with four players and a 9-0 non-conference loss against Ursinus College.
Rutgers-Camden ends its season at 0-5, while Ursinus improves to 8-6.
With a lack of players, the Scarlet Raptors were forced to forfeit matches at third doubles and at fifth and sixth singles.
At first singles, sophomore
Andrew Yuen dropped a 6-1, 6-1 decision. The second, third and fourth singles all lost by 6-0, 6-0 scores, with sophomore
Ken Tuppal, sophomore
Hani Qureshi and freshman
Cristian Valdez in those spots, respectively.
In doubles, the team of Yuen and Tuppal lost, 8-0, in the top spot and the combination of Qureshi and Valdez lost at second doubles, 8-0.
