Rutgers-Camden sweeps home volleyball tri-match
CAMDEN, N.J. (Oct. 1, 2023) – Home tri-matches have worked out very well for the Rutgers University-Camden volleyball team this season.
The Scarlet Raptors swept a pair of matches here Sunday by defeating Immaculata University, 3-0, and Brooklyn College, 3-0, to raise their record to 9-7. Earlier this season, the Raptors swept their other scheduled home tri-match by defeating Penn State-Harrisburg (3-2) and Wilkes University (3-0).
In the middle match on Sunday, Brooklyn defeated Immaculata, 3-1.
Rutgers-Camden returns to New Jersey Athletic Conference play on Tuesday with a 7 p.m. home match against New Jersey City University.

The Scarlet Raptors won by scores of 25-14, 25-16 and 25-11 to snap a six-match winning streak for the Mighty Macs, who later fell to 11-4 after losing to Brooklyn College.

Kaliyah Moss delivered nine kills and hit .467 for the Scarlet Raptors, while senior outside hitter

Kaitlyn Parrish added four kills as Rutgers-Camden collected 28 kills as a team. Parrish also had one assisted block to give her 100 blocks for her career, making her the 14th player in program history to reach that milestone.
Choice also added five blocks, including two solo ones, and three service aces. Sophomore defensive specialist/libero
Bella Craig also added three aces.
Freshman setter
JoAnna Andrews delivered 11 assists, while freshman setter
Sofia Granieri added nine. Another talented freshman, defensive specialist/libero
Mia Owens, led the team with 10 digs, one more than Nebrich.
For Immaculata, senior setter Emily Ettien had six assists, two kills, one ace and four digs.
Rutgers-Camden 3, Brooklyn 0
In the Scarlet Raptors' 25-10, 25-12, 25-14 win over Brooklyn College (6-8), Free collected seven kills, while Moss had six kills and hit .556. Parrish and Choice both added five kills.
Andrews had a huge match with 18 assists, seven service aces, five digs and one kill.
Craig let the team with five digs, while Owens added seven. Sophomore defensive specialist/libero
Sophia LaPorta collected six digs and both Nebrich and freshman defensive specialist/libero
Madison Snelgrove joined Andrews with five digs apiece.
Choice led the block party with four assisted blocks.
For the day, Moss finished with 15 kills while hitting .500.
Senior outside hitter Ashley Fung collected nine kills and six digs for the Bulldogs.
