WILKES-BARRE, Penn. (Oct. 28, 2023) – The Rutgers University-Camden volleyball team bounced back from a three-set loss against Elizabethtown College in the opening match to outlast host Wilkes University in five sets, splitting a tri-match here Saturday.
The win in the second match lifted the Scarlet Raptors to 13-12 overall.
Rutgers-Camden returns to action on Tuesday when it closes its New Jersey Athletic Conference regular-season schedule by hosting Stockton University at 7 p.m. The Ospreys, 7-0 in the NJAC, have already clinched the conference regular-season title.
Elizabethtown 3, Rutgers-Camden 0
The Blue Jays (14-9) collected 37 kills and hit .250 as they swept the Scarlet Raptors by scores of 25-15, 25-18 and 25-14.
Seniors Georgianna Kahley and Katie Scaggs paced Elizabethtown with eight kills apiece, while hitting .364 and 350, respectively. Junior Emma Bitner collected 29 assists and junor Savannah Lesley paced the team with 17 digs.

JoAnna Andrews, notched 11 and nine assists apiece, while Ang added three service aces.

Rutgers-Camden 3, Wilkes 2
The Scarlet Raptors rallied from a 2-1 deficit to win the final two sets and outlast Wilkes, 28-26, 22-25, 22-25, 25-23 and 15-10. The victory was the Raptors' second of the season over Wilkes, as Rutgers-Camden swept the Colonels while hosting its own tri-match Sept. 16 in Camden.
This time around the match went to five sets before the Scarlet Raptors finally pulled out the decisive 15-10 win in the fifth set. They clinched the win on a kill by Moss, who played only one set in the match, yet had six kills in six attacks for a 1.000 hitting percentage.
Rutgers-Camden featured a trio of players collecting double-doubles, including Ang (29 assists, 10 digs) and Andrews (19 assists, 15 digs). Senior outside hitter
Erica Nebrich added a double-double with 11 kills and 15 digs.

Isabella Choice notched 13 kills, hit .321 and added eight block assists, while senior
Dyamond Free had 14 kills.
