GLASSBORO, N.J.. (Dec. 6, 2023) – Junior guard Kate Hurlihy scored 22 points to lead 12 Rowan University players in the scoring column as the Profs defeated Rutgers University-Camden, 81-52, in a New Jersey Athletic Conference game here Wednesday night.
Rowan improves to 6-3 overall with its fourth straight victory, while lifting its mark to 3-1 in the NJAC. Rutgers-Camden falls to 0-9 overall and 0-4 in conference play.
Rutgers-Camden took a quick 4-0 lead in the game, but by the end of the first quarter the Profs had rallied for a 17-12 lead. Rowan outscored Rutgers-Camden, 27-10, in the second quarter to take a 44-22 lead at the break. The Profs led, 60-33, after three quarters.
In addition to Hurlihy, the Profs received 10 points apiece from senior guard/forward Eliana Santana and sophomore guard Jess McLaughlin.

Rahzirah Blocker added 12. Both Blocker and sophomore guard/forward
Taja Brown had eight rebounds apiece.
Rutgers-Camden shot 15-for-48 (31.3 percent) from the floor, while Rowan shot 34-for-83 (41.0). The Scarlet Raptors also were forced into 30 turnovers.
The Scarlet Raptors return to action Saturday with a 7:30 p.m. NJAC game at Rowan University.
