MAHWAH, N.J. (April 21, 2023) – The Rutgers University-Camden women's tennis team won its fourth straight match as it defeated Ramapo College, 8-1, here Friday.
The victory lifts the Scarlet Raptors to 7-8 overall and 2-3 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference, while the Roadrunners fall to 7-9 and 2-4.
Rutgers-Camden swept all three doubles matches, with junior
Sarah Ahrens and senior
Laurel DiStefano posting an 8-4 victory at the first flight. Junior

Katie Moore won, 8-2, at second doubles and junior
Alyna Cabrera and freshman
Ashton Sirko won at third doubles, 8-1.
In singles, Ahrens won at the top spot, 6-2, 6-2, and Hoban won by the same scores at second singles. Moore won a marathon at third singles, 5-7, 6-4, 10-7, and DiStefano captured a 6-2, 6-1 victory at fourth singles. Cabrera lost at fifth singles, 6-2, 6-1, and Sirko won in the sixth singles spot, 8-7, 6-4.
Rutgers-Camden closes its regular season with a home NJAC meet Saturday at 10 a.m. against Kean University.
